Not Recording with Guitar - Cubase - Steinberg Forums
Windows 10. Cubase Elements 10.5. No data is recorded with my electric guitar plugged into the audio device (Focusrite Scarlet Solo.) I am trying to record on an audio track. A mic works fine and I get signal and data, but not the guitar. The audio input is registering sound. Midi keyboard works fine, too. Does setting up the guitar require more than just plugging it in?

So at 3 or 4 on your guitar volume, you get a surprisingly clean tone without losing articulation and bottom. Push the pickup to between 5 and 7 and it delivers classic rock crunch in spades. When you dial it from 8 to 10 it gets very fat which is terrible for chords but awesome for soloing, especially high notes.

Hi Friends, I have small hands and I’d like to change a tab number to use a different finger, for example change “3” to “5”. I’m entering notes on a keyboard which automatically adds the traditional fingering below in the tab staff. Is this possible? Thank you, Karen

A friend sent this indication of slides; I like it. When I tried to make a similar indication in Dorico, the bend looks OK, but I want the curved slide; the timing is like a grace note, as shown in the bend. I didn’t see choices in Properties to create the look and timing I want. By the way, I like the new contextual Help connection. Thanks.

I’ve watched several YT tutorials, but I must be doing something wrong, because it’s not happening for me. Then cut gain to notch it out and listen for unpleasant artifacts. If is sucks all the “air” out of the guitar, it’s too much, bring the gain up a bit. I wouldn’t try to remove all the squeaks, it’s a natural part of steel-string performance and will sound weird and unnatural if completely removed.
